March has been dedicated to finalising the working paper 3 on analysing interviews and focus groups with migrants. The partners are also preparing their local seminars, which will be conducted in the spring 2010 and will disseminate the results of the PRIMTS project to wider public and stakeholders, i.e. other researchers, NGOs, policy makers, employers, migrants, representatives of relevant institutions, etc.

Each partner will select their own format on how to organise the seminar and with what focus, while the end goal of all the teams is the same – to present to the wider public the results, especially recommendations for policy changes and the problems encountered by migrants. It is imperative that we address the less frequently debated problems, which especially migrants are encountering on the labour market, and that are particularly pronounced in the current situation of financial crisis and recession, a period when most countries respond with sharpened migration polices and limited access to labour market.

The dates of local seminars will be advertised. All the second policy briefs on current challenges to migrant integration, with a specific focus on xenophobia and racism, will be available on the web page shortly.
