Currently we are simultaneously working on our second and third phase of the project. Whereas the migration policy assessment, where situation in migration and integration policies that affect the situation of "third country nationals" on the labour market has been analyzed and critically evaluated, is almost completed; the field phase of the project is half way through. Each partner country has made a sample for the interviews, according to the statistics gathered in the first working paper, which corresponds to the situation of "third country nationals" on the labour market in each respective country.

The fact that many of our contacts and possible interview partners are on the holidays during these summer months slowed down our field phase a bit. However, despite this smaller hindrance we already conducted a substantial number of interviews where people shared with us useful information that will be used at the later stage to make recommendations for the policy changes. We believe it is extremely important that we learn about the policies in practice from the first hand, that is from people themselves, who have migrated and have encountered different experiences on the labour market as well have the experience with the integration policies in the countries they have temporarily or permanently settled down. By assuring the interview partners complete confidentiality and anonymity, we came across many cooperative people, who were willing to share their stories with our researchers that will help in creating the most appropriate policy recommendations, which is also the main goal and the end result of the PRIMTS project.
